A pale gold iteration of the historical, indigenous grape variety of the Pannonian plain, which Hungary and Austria both share — one of the two varieties that usually comprises the famous Tokaj. Fresh aromas of golden apple, fully ripened quince, a hint of lemon. It's got nice body on the palate, but finishes refreshingly brisk with a mineral underpinning. The stork on the label is an homage to this native bird of Burgenland—they spend a lot of time around Lake Neusiedl, and you'll often see their giant nests on peoples' roofs in the area.
