The grape variety Ull de Llebre, Catalan for 'Eye of the Hare,' is more commonly known as Tempranillo in Spanish, but Albert Navarro of Celler Tuets doesn't make it like any Tempranillo we've ever had. His version is as friendly as the giant pig for whom it's named — Albert's farm friend Panxu — medium-weight, with bright acidity and super lovely herbal, light earth notes. We're so pleased to encounter such a fine and drinkable Tempranillo, when that grape has been beaten up beyond belief in other parts of the Iberian peninsula. Albert characterizes his farming as "organic and happy"— this wine guarantees you will be, too.
