Christian Tschida's extraordinary Grüner Veltliner that should not be thought of in terms of that grape variety as it is commonly expressed in the rest of Austria, hence, 'Non-Tradition.' Pale, ever-so-gently extracted, sheer and weightless. It's not a Grüner, it's one of the highly gauzy, almost lacy wines that regularly issue from this minimalist domaine. Allow this wine a lot of time to unfurl once the wine is open, or better yet, age it for a few more years before opening this chamomile-and-mineral beauty.
