This is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir, sourced from a very well-regarded site in Santa Clara called the 'Besson Vineyard.' It's a bottling from young winemaker Terah Bajjalieh from her relatively new company/brand of the same name. This Pinot was made 50% whole cluster, with twice daily punchdowns and native yeast fermentation. After pressing, the wine went through élevage in neutral barrels for nine months on lees. All of this means you'll get a Cali Pinot Noir of some substance, with black cherry, scrubby fruit and savory, almost lightly meaty notes. Bright red notes on palate and a graphite finish—great for pulled pork and corn on the cob outside.
