It's quite uncommon for any Swiss wine to make its way over to the United States, and extremely rare to see a Valais of this quality on this side of the pond. This 'Young Vines' cuvee is a collaboration between Galician-born Priorat winemaker Fredi Torres, and St. Jodern Kellerei, a co-op winery based in Visperterminen, Switzerland, in the Valais AOC. 100% Heida, more commonly known as Savagnin. Rich, lush and creamy with notes of almond and ripe peach. Pair this with roasted oysters in cultured butter or bone in chicken thighs with a potato puree and pine nuts.
