Led by Raj Parr a sommelier turned winemaker of Scythian Wine Co., resurrects Los Angeles' forgotten wine legacy, once the heart of California's wine industry. Predating prohibition, LA vineyards thrived with Palomino, Mission, Garnacha and Zinfandel. The vineyards are relics, sandwiched between warehouses, corporate headquarters and highways around Los Angeles County. Since 2019 Raj Parr has worked to revitalize these century-old, dry-farmed vineyards, untouched by pesticides or fungicides, yielding as little as 2 lbs of fruit per vine.
