March Pesnot makes some of our favorite Muscadet, especially in the sense that they don't taste like Pépière or every other straight-laced Muscadet out there. Cloudy straw in the glass with pretty notes of white flowers, pear, and stone. The palate is broad and creamy, not lean and green, with much more fruit and texture than the grape Melon de Bourgogne is often permitted. Pair with clam chowder, fried fish, or smoky bacon.
