A blend of 20% Grenache Gris, Blanc & Noir from 2019 with 80% Grenache Gris, Noir & Cinsault from 2020. 2019 was a disaster vintage in the Languedoc - heat wave and terrible drought essentially destroying most of the harvest, so this wine was born of a need to soften and mitigate the extremity of the little wine Les Bories Jefferies was able to produce that year. Winemaker Joseph Jefferies was very pleased with the results of this blend - after given correct time to age and become whole - and this is the result. The wine has sappy, sparkling fruit and nice concentration, but you can’t miss the freshness and mineral touch given from Caux’s extra-particular basalt soils.
