An unusual Languedoc white variety expressed in perhaps its highest form - Terret Blanc, a rather unknown integer with an ancient vitis vinifera parent. In ‘Pierre de Sisyphe,’ Terret Blanc is expressed from a single vineyard parcel on a mix of basalt and limestone. This is maybe Joseph Jefferies’ finest white wine, expressing great mineral structure without roughness; notes of white grapefruit, punchy other citrus, a touch of smoke and that tremendous length really make this a bottle worth noting — one of the best southern French white wines available in the shop.
