A brisk, somewhat-structured lighter red made from Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris, and Cinsault, from small parcels in Les Bories Jefferies’ home village of Caux. Fermented whole-cluster, with around a week’s worth of maceration, pressed and aged in tank afterward. Notes of candied red fruit, delicious light volcanic sensations underneath, and touches of blueberry and blackberry and wild plants — this could also be called a darker rosé, depending on how you define the categories. Joseph Jefferies made only a very small amount of this wine, and its lean but lovely profile makes it a real rarity.
