Lelarge-Pugeot is a family-owned Champagne domaine based in the village of Vrigny in the Montagne de Reims; they farm 42 tiny parcels spread across various terroirs in the region. We're particularly fond of their expressions of Pinot Meunier, the underdog variety in Champagne in general and certainly in the Montagne de Reims where Pinot Noir generally reigns supreme. This wine comes from a plot of 40 year-old vines and was aged in the bottle six years on lees before disgorgement and release - a traditional-method sparkling wine built for the long haul. 'Clémence' is the name of the daughter at the domaine who is helping her parents guide this winery in a more artisanal direction over the years, both with healthier farming and also more personal wines.
