Wow, this is such a stunner. A 100% Pinot Noir rosé entirely drawn from the warm 2015 vintage, made by the organic and biodynamically-farming family of Lelarge-Pugeot in the village of Vrigny. Deep and rich, but not too froofy--a weight that’s welcome joined with impressive tension remaining after nearly eight years of aging on lees in the bottle. 2g/L dosage. It’s rosé Champagne with pure, pure pink fruit on the nose, medium+ in weight, with a good salty finish. It’s one to throw in a wider glass and actually drink with your dinner; this isn’t a slight aperitif or crystalline style of rosé. A nod of the cap to this classy dame.
