Winemaker Gina Giugni has been farming the 6.5 acre Chene Vineyard, located in the Edna Valley appellation on the Central Coast, since her takeover in 2018 when she began implementing biodynamic methods. The motto of Lady of the Sunshine is “know your farmer” and Gina farms, sources, and makes wines that are honest-yet-playful reflections of serious vineyard sites. The site is known for producing small, concentrated clusters of fruit, which upon harvest were fermented 100% whole-cluster with light extraction. Grown in California's cooled wine region and made entirely with whole clusters, this medium bodied Pinot Noir features a fresh and floral palate with a deep core of spicy red fruit and a long, layered finish.
