Limniona is a lovely native grape hailing from central Greece in Thessaly; in the case of this producer Kontozisis, it's planted at around 340m elevation, tucked into the Agrafa mountain range, with vineyards that are windy, cool, and dry. We really like Kontozisis' fresh, unique natural wines, carefully made and great transmitters of their place. Pale ruby in color, bright and fresh, with notes of strawberry, cherry, and cranberry. Medium-bodied, low tannin, a great refresher for heftier meals or lamb keftedes.
