Nestled in the village of Vrhpolje within the Vipava Valley, Vina Krapež estate boasts a rich heritage dating back to 1928 when Grandpa Jožef Krapež purchased the "Pr’potokovo" farm and laid the foundation for a family legacy in viticulture and winemaking. Influenced by the sub-Mediterranean climate characterized by the interplay of warm, moist southwest winds and cold northeast breezes, the valley's terroir of flysch and marl deposits nurtures exceptional vineyards. This bright orange wine is mostly Zelen (aka Welschriesling) from Slovenia, organically farmed, and has 7 days of skin contact, revealing lime and dried herbs with structured tannins. Fresh yet textured - a rare expression of this unique varietal.
