Another one of Keltis' top-tier white wines from the cold-climate appellation of Štajerska in northeastern Slovenia, also known as the Steiermark in Austria right over the nearby border. This iteration of the aromatic variety Traminer (Traminec in Slovene) is bright yellow in color and cloudy; the floral aroma of the variety is present but restrained; ripe citrus and tropical notes like pineapple round it out. Supple texture with nice, vivid acidity. Two days of maceration, with spontaneous fermentation; aging in large oak barrels for 18 months. A special white wine with both delicacy and gusto.

Keltis

The Keltis family wine history starts in 1776. Located in the Bizeljsko region in Slovenia the estate has been passed through many generations, the current lead winemaker is Miha Kelhar, who took over from his father in 2009.

Since Miha took over, the vineyard has become certified organic, and all their wines are naturally made with nothing added and nothing taken away.

The grape varieties that Keltis mainly produces are the indigenous grapes rumeni plavec, ottonel muscat, yellow muscat and traminer.
