Natural producer Il Vinco's 'Le Capannacce' is a 100% Grechetto Rosso, an indigenous variety coming from the area around the Lago di Bolsena in northern Lazio. Grechetto Rosso is understood as being a particular type of Sangiovese, resulting in a medium-weight red with notes of strawberry fruit, scrub herbs, and warm clay. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeast in concrete vats, aged for three months in stainless steel before being bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added SO2. A lovely central Italian wine with both structure and a transparent hue.
