Fabio Zambolin began his project in 2010 with a parcel next to his grandparent’s house and crafts his wines in their garage. While his organic vineyards are inside the Lessona DOC, his garage cantina is only a few meters outside of the legal boundary, which limits him to the Coste della Sesia appellation and makes for one of the best-priced non-Lessona, Lessona wines on the market. 'Feldo' is one of his two cuvees, and is made from the oldest vines on the property (around 70 years old on average). It shows a lighter and more delicate side of Nebbiolo than what you might find in Barolo to the south - notes of dried cherry dominate but are followed by flavors of clove, anise, and black truffle with a beautiful robe of tannins.
