EH Taylor Jr 'Small Batch' is named for Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, widely considered to be one of the founding fathers of the bourbon industry. Among many other things Taylor is known for his fight to pass the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 - and so today each barrel is hand-picked and Bottled in Bond at 100 proof to honor its namesake. This 'Small Batch' bourbon offers a beautiful and subtle complexity, with aromas of mint and sweet spices balanced with smoky oak giving way to a smooth caramel corn sweetness mingled with tones of butterscotch and licorice. The aftertaste is a soft mouth feel that turns into subtle spices of pepper and tobacco.
