Very pretty, medium-bodied Chardonnay from the southerly terroir of the Mâconnais. Domaine Sainte-Barbe has been farming their nine or so hectares of vineyards organically for over 20 years; this wine represents just a solid, well-expressed version of this appellation. A nice alternative if you're looking for affordable Burgundy but want to be able to drink it young and without a lot of fuss.
