The Gouron family has farmed their estate for five generations in the region of Chinon. This cuvée called “Terroir” reflects the unique gravelly - sloped soils, and the 50 - year old vines planted there. Almost Pinot Noir-esque in style, the Cabernet Franc here is wide open with a knife edge balance of fruit and acidity from start to finish. Supple and ripe, the finish is pure black tea and red berry fruit. No oak in this cuvée.
