Domaine Galus - named for the French word for "rooster" - is made up of Fanette Fessy and Jean-Baptiste Paquet, both originally from Burgundy, though the couple now organically farms 15 hectares in the heart of Costières de Nîmes, the most southerly appellation in the Rhône Valley. They are focused on creating joyful, elegant and accessible wines, including this blend of Syrah and Grenache (a classic Côtes-du-Rhône blend). Ruby colored and fresh with lots of red berry notes and supple tannins - excellent with pork or mushroom dishes.
