Domaine de Chassorney is winemaker Frédéric Cossard's estate in Burgundy, where he owns 10 hectares of vines across various villages and appellations in the region. Reds from the village of Volnay in general are known for being forward in their youth, meaning they show a lot of red fruit and freshness at the very beginning, unlike some other villages where Pinot Noir can develop a hard side or display much darker fruit and tannin. Robust, fruited, with a touch of palpable oak.
