The top single-vineyard wine from our loved Valtellina growers Barbacàn, comprised of Angelo Sega and sons Luca and Matteo. 'Jazpemi' comes from a special old-vine parcel in the important cru of Valgella; it's 90% Chiavennasca (or Nebbiolo), and roughly 10% Pignola, Rossola, and Chiavennaschino. The Sega family is committed to restoring native varieties in this unbelievably steep, difficult-to-work terroir; tending the vine here in this intense Alpine climate is known as 'heroic viticulture.'
