Château Massereau is a rarity among the much fancier and more famous estates in Bordeaux in that they farm well and make genuine natural wines, and they have been doing so for almost 20 years (this makes them among the genuine minority). The Graves is one of the most impressive wines Massereau makes, with the Cabernet varieties at the fore. The wine displays dark purple fruit, properly integrated deep green, pine-like notes, merciful acidity to balance the power, and decently firm tannins that are still really well-handled. It's the kind of thing to make you fall in love with the region, if you've avoided Bordeaux for fear of it being not delicious at all!
