This very traditionally-styled Bordeaux from Chateau Massereau is the real deal: no lousy farming, no billionaire investors, no manicured château (even though it's in the name). It's a well-made blend of some of the more important grape varieties in the region—25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot. It's farmed honestly, fermented naturally, isn't fined or filtered, and has a very low SO2 regimen. Most Bordeaux like this has disappeared. A crazy value given the age, too.
