Chantal Lescure began their work in the mid-70s just a grower selling their fruit in Nuits-St-Georges; in the 90's a new vineyard director stopped doing all chemical farmer at the domaine and is still in charge of the winery. This is an estate bottling of single-vineyard Pommard from the vineyard called 'Les Vaumuriens,' with fermentation and long élevage in neutral barrel; sulfur additions are quite low. It's a fuller-bodied Pinot Noir, with more concentration and plushness and a sense of darker, blacker fruit. We love this old-school bottle of Burgundy.
