In general, La Salada's 'Pagès Content' ('Happy Farmer') wines are meant to honor the Catalan farming families of the past who worked their land as a vocation, with enthusiasm and love. These old folks are the inspiration for Toni Carbó's easygoing wines, based on whichever fruit the year grants. The '21 orange version is mostly Macabeu, with a touch of Xarel.lo (and even 5% Sumoll blended in); it's a tangerine, peach-skin, lightly herbal joy. Quaffable, meant to be had with boquerones, jamón, all the snacks. Super limited: only one case of this wine to be had each year!
