The inaugural release of Branchwater Pear Brandy comes from Bartlett pears grown in the Hudson Valley. Five tons of pears were hand-sorted and cleaned for quality, then crushed, fermented and distilled. This yielded 1,000 half bottles, which translates to 10 pounds of pears in each 375ml bottle. The resulting brandy evokes the sensation of biting into a perfectly ripe pear.
