A young Samuel Párraga began Bodega Viñeron in 2018, producing wines of terrific purity that express the amazing terroirs of his native Málaga and neighboring Granada. It's a very beautiful region where, the pristine Mediterranean coast gives way to dramatic steep terraced slopes cultivated for centuries with vines, almonds, olives, citrus (and now avocados). This dry rendition of two southern Spanish varieties typically used in the production of fortified or sweet wines is fresh, only a touch floral, salty, and light on its feet. Terrific spring stuff for asparagus, peas, pasta alla primavera.
