While this might be Aurélien Burgaud’s first professional release of Beaujolais, the young winemaker (and nephew to Morgon legend Jean-Marc Burgaud) already makes one of the best Beaujolais-Villages we've had in a some time. Taken from a tiny plot of organic vines in the village of Quincié-en-Beaujolais, this bright, slightly spritzy first release is full of cranberry, rhubarb, and light leafy greens: it's very very easy to put down, and not as juicy and simple as other wines from the region made in the Nouveau style.
