Andre Clouet's Silver Label Champagne is entirely Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru village of Bouzy, mostly from the 2010 vintage — so this Champagne has a lot of age and complexity to it already. While this cuvée has no dosage (added sugar), it was aged in a former Sauternes barrel, then bottle aged for longer than the standard; both add additional richness. Notes of brioche and cream with buttered pastry, citrus, and a lightly oxidized apple note. Fleshy, fancy stuff—Champagne in petticoats.
