Le Grappin is the Australian Andrew Nielsen, operating what we call a micro, micro-négociant winery in Burgundy. All of their fruit comes from vineyards farmed at least organically; these wines are bottled to focus on the hyper-specific sites for which Burgundy is famed. This Savigny-lès-Beaune is from a single-vineyard site called 'Aux Fournaux,' from 60 year-old vines farmed organically for over a decade. The Le Grappin style in general is light, pretty, and super-fine. This one was done whole-cluster, all aged in barrel for around 18 months, deeply fresh and pretty, the brightest side of Burgundy.
