Gotsa's winery and farmhouse is in the village of Kiketi, only 25km from Tbilisi, Georgia's capital city. The house is surrounded by oak forests in the mountains, 1300m above sea level (that's really high—this means cool climate and great acidity!). Gotsa's Tavkveri is a fresh, light-bodied red pet-nat made traditionally in clay kvevri (amphoras), with wild strawberry and charred herb notes—almost like a dark rosé. A little bit wild; eat with khinkali (Georgian dumplings).
