La Salada's 'Roig Boig' rosé is a field blend of Catalan native varieties, both red and white: Sumoll, Roigenc, Mandó, Cannonnau, Monica, Torbat, Parellada and Xarel·lo. What that mouthful of grapes fermented all together translates to is: zesty, herbal, frosted cranberries; a palate full of rocks; light and low alcohol; looks like a pink glass slipper. What in the world. Winemaker Toni Carbó is a genius. We only get 12 bottles of this a year. Don't miss it.
