Arianna Occhipinti’s home town of Vittoria lies in the far south of Sicily just to the west of Ragusa, where she has been making wine for the past ten years. This bottle is 100% Nero d'Avola - "Siccagno" is local dialect for "totally dry". Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts in 20-hectoliter concrete tanks and with approximately 30 days of maceration and only gentle extraction, with minimal sulfur use. Intense and luminous ruby red, rich in extract and powerful with aromas of dried fruit, raspberries, beetroot and blackcurrants.
