A fuller-bodied rosé from a young producer whose work we're always charmed by in the Languedoc, this is a saignée rosé of Grenache and Syrah from vines ranging from 15 to 70 years old, all planted in the basalt and clay soils surrouding Peyras' town of Paulhan. Harvest was mid-August; the Grenache grapes macerated for about a day before before infused into the directly-press juice of Syrah. Spontaneous ferment, six months in steel, no SO2 added. Rustic, happy, country stuff. Drink it chilled on your tractor if you work with one; if not, the riding lawnmower will do.
