Eva Fricke is one of the Rheingau's highly lauded new generation of winemakers, having trained with the likes of J.B. Becker in the Rheingau, as well as in many other winemaking regions of the world. This Riesling is taken from a variety of vineyard parcels in various villages and on varying soils: sandy loess and loam, clay and riverbed sediments, as well as slate and quarzite. Fermented in stainless steel followed by four to nine months on its fine lees. This dry Riesling, full of flowers, mineral notes, and bearing refined acidity, is an excellent intro to Fricke's expressive but precise style.
