Distillerie Capitoline, based in Rome, is a micro, micro-distillery operating out of an also tiny but very cool cocktail and beer bar. Led by a chef and a few cocktail nerds, they're producing very hand-crafted and tiny batch spirits that follow the ethos of artisanal wine production. 'Cerasa' is essentially a dry cherry liqueur, made off a base of natural Montepulciano vino rosso from a neighboring winery friend of the distillery in Toscana. Famous Amarena cherries are macerated whole in a style similar to sous-vide cooking, then all is blended together in barrel. A very, very natural vermouth/liqueur, one that makes a remarkable Manhattan (in place of your brandied cherries).
