What follows here is a French winemaker story we really wanted to hate: the duo Antonin Roux and Aymar Carrol are artists, DJs, Parisian-party-throwers turned neo-vignerons. Antonin is a Paris-based experimental music composer, while Aymar owns and operates a natural wine bar in Marseille. Their passion for natural wine steadily evolved into a quest to make their own. After attending the inaugural edition of the Bim natural wine fair in Arles, they began incorporating natural wine into their parties in Paris. They then staged with icon Martin Texier in 2019 and vinified their first micro-cuvées in demijohns. In 2022, they secured a cave by the Rhône river and debuted their official first vintage, including this Syrah 'Sugane' here, which is fresh as can be, unadulterated, and (unfortunately for our cynicism), very pleasurable. All jokes about Parisian Gen-Z DJs aside.
