A basket for anyone looking to learn something new about wine! Delve into the history of wine and drinking culture with Tom Standage’s bestselling book “A History of the World in Six Glasses.” The basket also includes a drawing pad from Ito Bindery made out of high-quality Japanese paper, as well as two innovative bottles of natural wine - Domaine de la Tourlaudière's 'L'Apogée' and Claus Preisinger's 'Puszta Libre' Rouge.

FEATURING * Domaine de la Tourlaudière 'L'Apogée' 2020
This is a rare red wine made in the westerly Loire appellation of Muscadet, the place mostly known for ocean-spray white wines made with Melon de Bourgogne and often recommended with oysters. Here, winemaker Romain Petiteau creates a fuller-bodied red with the unusual combination of varieties Carmenère and Pinot Noir, aged in older wooden barriques for around six months each year, with no more than 600 bottles produced annually. Spicy, herbal, floral, complex - super interesting, there's not many other bottles we know like it in the Loire!
