Sylvere Trichard is a young vigneron in the small hamlet of Blacé, a village in the southern part of Beaujolais just east of the hills of Brouilly. In 2012, after interning with Domaine Belluard in Savoie and working at Domaine Lapalu in Beaujolais, Sylvere took over his uncle's 4ha of vines, which fortuitously had already been farmed organically and biodynamically since 1998. His wines go through semi-carbonic maceration, meaning they end up both fruity and fresh but also with a little structure; they're aged mostly in concrete vats or large wooden casks. The wines are bottled without fining, filtration or SO2 when feasible.
