Sommelier-turned-producer Elisa Carta makes her liqueurs near Lake Garda in Lombardy, using recipes handed down that have been in her family for generations. They are artisanal liqueurs made from herbs, flowers, roots and fruit; these botanicals are made as single infusions then blended together for the final products. The Liquore delle Sirene or 'Liqueur of Sirens' bitter is composed of multiple bittersweet aromatics, such as olive and lemon tree leaves, linden and acacia flowers, wild rose berries, and sweet and bitter orange.
