'Jimmy Red' is a legendary variety of moonshiner's corn hailing from the American South that was near extinction in the early 2000s. In conjuction with one last family who worked with the variety, various local millers, and academics at Clemson University, High Wire Distilling was entrusted with enough seed of Jimmy Red corn to plant 2.5 acres, leading to this heirloom-variety corn whiskey (also explaining its amazing auburn color). Aged for a minimum of two years: creamy, unctuous, and deep. This is very special American whiskey that can't be produced elsewhere!
