Barbera from the Piemonte, the way it's supposed to be: fermented and aged in old barrels, unfined, unfiltered, no BS. Monferrato is quite a warm appellation in this area, and Barbera has a particular strength grown here, so this is a hearty number, but with lovely brambly purple and black fruit, as well as the black soil notes that should always come with this grape variety. Not over-heavy and with lovely freshness, too.
