Cocchi's 'Rosa' Vermouth, called Americano for the style of cocktail in which it's regularly used, is made in Torino from a base of Piemontese red wines. There's added extracts of herbs and spices, in particular gentian, china root, citrus peel, and rose petal. This style of vermouth sits somewhere between a sweet rosso and a rounder bianco style — it's amazing in highball cocktails and in its namesake, the Americano.
