This handsome little Bordeaux from Château l'Escart is a mix of many of the traditional red varieties in the region: 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Côt (more commonly known by its Latin American name, Malbec). Full-bodied and traditional, with notes of black tea, black cherry, warm soil, and rich plum. Lower tannic structure because of the Merlot dominance; a friendly everyday Bordeaux.
