This joyful, dynamic wine from our favorite Lombardians, Barbacàn, is largely the local version of Nebbiolo, Chiavennasca, with a blend of other native grapes as Róssola, Rossolino Rosa, Brugnòla, Chiavennaschino, Pignòla, Negrera and Chiavennasca Bianca. It's a special wine that's meant to represent the diversity and beauty of this rugged Alpine part of very very northern Italy, right on the Austrian border. Subtle and pretty, with light and integrated tannins.
