Chinuri is one of Georgia's finest white grape varieties; there it is always made into 'amber' wine, or macerated white wine, what we tend to call 'orange' here in the States. It is a floral variety, with notable fine-grain tannin; Gotsa's kvevri-aged version is structured but pretty. Be prepared for a whole new experience of macerated white wines, given this Chinuri's notes of stone fruit, spices, and white pepper — Georgian natural producers are the global masters of the style.
